The invention claims a method and an apparatus for monitoring other channel interferences in a wireless communication system. At the beginning each superframe in the RLServingSector updates an OSIMonitorSet. The PilotStrength is larger than or equal to the PilotPN list of the sector of the OSIMonitorThreshold in the OSIMonitorSet wherein the PilotPN and the PilotStrenth are the fields in the OverheadParameterList of an overhead massage protocol and the OSIMonitorThreshold is the configuration attribute of the overhead massage protocol.
