Abstract  Abstract

The invention relates to a wireless communication system using high-speed shared information channel point-to-multi-point service. Service data is transmitted in a wireless communication system a first service identification is transmitted to be received by a group of users the first cell in the system. A group of users does not include all of the users of the cell. Each of the group of users receives the service only identification code. Each of the group of users monitors transmission on high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) of the second service identification code. The service data with the second service identification code on the HS-DSCH. Each of the group of users detects the second service identification and receives the service data of the HS-DSCH.
