Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of transmitting service data in a wireless communication system. A first service identification is received that is received by a group of users of a cell in the communication system. The group of users does not include all users of the cell. Each of the group of users receives the first service identification. Each of the group of users monitors a second service identification transmitted over a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) (see description of elements 26, 38). The service data is transmitted on the high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) along with the second service identification. Each of the group of users (see description of device UE j 12 j ) detects the second service identification and receives service data of the HS-DSCH.
