Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a point-to-multipoint service in a radio communication system.

SOLUTION: Service data is transferred in a radio communication system. First service identification is transmitted in order for a user group of a cell in the system to receive it. The user group does not include all of users of the cell. Each user of the user group receives the service identification. Each user of the user group monitors second service identification transmitted through a high-speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) (see explanation of elements 26 and 28). The service data is transmitted through an HS-DSCH having the second service identification. Each user (see explanation of an element UE j12j) of the user group detects the second service identification and receives the service data on the HS-DSCH.
