Abstract  Abstract

A system and method for providing improved QoS support for various applications, and particularly for various applications that are transparent to EPC. According to various embodiments, an extended Node B (eNodeB) operating in a radio access network in which a data flow is associated with a bearer using a quality of service (QoS) class identifier (QCI), the eNodeB Based on the intra-QCI classification information received from the user equipment (UE), scheduling a plurality of packets of one or more data flows having the same QCI to a plurality of packets of the plurality of data flows having the same QCI. An intra-QCI scheduler that classifies according to sub-QCI indicating priority is provided, and the intra-QCI scheduler is provided with an eNodeB that schedules a plurality of packets for downlink transmission by a radio bearer based on the sub-QCI.
