A method of timer processing in radio communication system the method comprises starting a timer poll periodic timer which is used in the acknowledged mode entity of the radio link control layer executing a reset program which is used in the acknowledged mode entity of the radio link control and before the reset program anew starting the timer poll periodic timer to be the reaction of the timer poll periodic timer expire. The invention further claims a suitable processing mode of other 8 timers after the RLC or re-establish to avoid the deadlock phenomenon of the acknowledged mode entity of the radio link control layer or reduction of the service quality.
