Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timer processing method for preventing a deterioration in quality-of-services (QoS) by averting RLC AM entity from dead lock in a wireless communication system.

SOLUTION: The timer processing method is provided with: a step for starting a Timer_Poll_Periodic timer for the RLC AM entity; a step for performing a reset process for the RLC AM entity; and a step for restarting the Timer_Poll_Periodic timer in response to the expiration of the Timer_Poll_Periodic timer before the completion of the reset process. Further the method is provided with a step for maintaining the operation of the timer while maintaining a value of the timer without stopping the Timer_Poll_Periodic timer in response to the reset process.
