A method for processing a timer in a wireless communication system comprising staring a timer of a Timer-Poll-Periodic of a Acknowledged Mode (AM) of a Radio Lind Control (RLC) layer performing a reset process for the entity of the Acknowledged Mode of the Radio Lind Control (RLC AM) and re-staring the timer of a Timer-Poll-Periodic of as a response to the expire of the timer of a Timer-Poll-Periodic of before stopping the resetting. The invention also claims proper process methods for another eight timers after the resetting or re-establishment of the Radio Lind Control (RLC) for avoiding the entity of the Acknowledged Mode of the Radio Lind Control to generate dead-lock or reduce the service quality.
