PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timer processing method for preventing RLC AM entity from dead lock and for preventing the deterioration of service quality QoS in a wireless communication system.

SOLUTION: A timer processing method includes a process for starting a Timer_Poll_Periodic timer for a RLC AM entity a process for executing a reset process for the RLC AM entity and process for restarting the Timer_Poll_Periodic timer in response to the Timer_Poll_Periodic timer expiring prior to the completion of the reset process. This method includes a process for not stopping the Timer_Poll_Periodic timer and for maintaining the value of the timer and for maintaining the operation of the timer in response to the reset process.
